Whinta
Open Source Licensing

Whinta’s plugins for WordPress and WooCommerce are free software.

Licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later.

Full licence text: gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0

Full source in every download · No licence keys · Modify and redistribute freely

Is the WooCommerce plugin actually free to use commercially?
Yes — it’s licensed under GPLv2 or later, so you can use it on any number of sites, commercial or personal, at no cost.
Can I modify the code?
Absolutely. You can read, modify, and even redistribute it, as long as you keep it under GPLv2 or later and keep the copyright notices.
Where do I get the source code?
It’s included in every download — no separate request needed.

What the licence covers

Every file inside the plugin packages we distribute is released under GPLv2 or later. That includes all PHP, JavaScript, CSS, image and template files in the package. No part of a plugin is minified, obfuscated, or locked behind a licence key.

Plugins under this licence

Each plugin also declares its licence in the main plugin file header and in readme.txt, and ships with the full licence text in a LICENSE file.

What you are free to do

  • Run the plugins on any number of sites, commercial or personal, at no cost.
  • Read the complete source code and study how the plugins work.
  • Change the code to suit your own setup.
  • Share the plugins, modified or not, as long as you keep them under GPLv2 or later and leave the copyright notices in place.

Getting the source

The full source is inside every download — there is no separate build to request. If you need it another way, write to info@whinta.com and we will send it.

What the licence does not cover

The GPL applies to the plugin code we distribute. It does not extend to the Whinta hosted service, the Whinta WhatsApp Business API, the Whinta dashboard, or the Whinta name and logo. Use of the hosted service is governed by our Terms of Service.

Warranty

These plugins are distributed in the hope that they will be useful, but without any warranty — without even the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. See the GNU General Public License for details.
