Connect Claude to Whinta in 7 steps using MCP.

Claude connects to Whinta through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — giving it direct, live access to your WhatsApp conversations, contacts, and workspace. No API-key juggling. Here's exactly how to set it up.

    Open Claude and click the Connectors icon

    In the Claude interface, look for the Connectors (link/chain) icon in the sidebar or toolbar. Click it to open the connectors panel.

    Go to Connectors and click the + icon

    Inside the panel, find the Connectors section. Click the + (Add Connector) button to start adding a new connection.

    Choose "Add Custom Connector"

    A prompt will appear — select Add Custom Connector to configure Whinta as a custom MCP server.

    Fill in the connector details

    Enter a Name (e.g. Whinta). For the Remote MCP Server URL, take your Whinta dashboard URL (everything up to — but not including — /dashboard) and append /mcp. Your final URL will look like https://app.whinta.com/mcp. Leave all other fields empty, then click Add.

    Authenticate — click Connect

    Claude will verify the server. It will show a "Not connected" status at first — that's expected. Click the Connect button to proceed.

    Grant access on the Whinta permissions page

    Claude will redirect you to Whinta's access-sharing page. Review the permissions requested — Claude can read and send messages, read and manage contacts, view WhatsApp message templates, and receive real-time message events for your connected workspace. Click Allow.

  7. 7

    Done — start using Claude with Whinta

    Go back to Claude and try a command like "Can you see the last chat — what was it about and with whom?" Claude will fetch your conversations in real time. On first use, Claude may ask you to allow each tool individually — approve as prompted. That's it.
